The Hanoi Metro is the only rapid transit system in Vietnam located in the capital city of Hanoi. The Hanoi Metro is called Đường sắt đô thị Hà Nội, which translates litterally to 'Hanoi urban railway'. At the time of writing, the Hanoi Metro only has one line in operation which began operation 6 November 2021. There are plans to have more lines in the future, at least 8 in total.
